My name is Ana Paula Martins Glover. I was born in Brazil and now I currently live in the United States. Since I was young, I loved to draw and color. My passion for art grew more and more each year as people liked my drawings. I am a self-taught and Eclectic artist. My dream since childhood was to paint pictures like the great artists, I admired the paintings of Leonardo da Vinci, Nicolas Poussin, Caravaggio and Botticelli.
My first work of art was the reproduction of the painting: "The Inspiration of the Poet" by Nicolas Poussin (June 1594-November 1665). A Classic painter who had a powerful influence on Raphael's Classic French Baroque style.
That reproduction measures 40 x 40 inches (1 x 1 meters)
I use many different styles as Realism, Abstract, Modernism, Surrealism, Expressionism, Impressionism, and Pop Art. I believe that working in a single medium/style is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style. I am a very observant and minimalist person, and I look for inspiration in the things around me like nature, shapes, people, or things from day to day.
