About me

I am Ana Paula Martins, I was born in Brazil and now I currently live and work in the United States. I have an undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Physics and a graduate degree in Biology, but my passion for art was much greater.

I am a self-taught, eclectic artist. I always had a passion for art since I was a child, and it has continued to bloom as I've got older. 

I use many different art styles such as Realism, Abstract, Modernism, Surrealism, Expressionism, Impressionism, Cubism, Pop Art, etc. I believe that working in a single style/medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style.  I look for inspiration in the nature, culture, people, shapes, or things around me.

My artistic services include portraits, pet portraits, landscapes, plein air paintings, live wedding paintings, and custom artwork or montages tailored to individual requests. 

I have been recognized in art shows, exhibitions, magazines, and newspapers across Brazil, the United States, and Europe. I am also a member of the Portrait Society of America and the CWA Association.
