My name is Ana Paula Martins Glover. I was born in Brazil and now I currently live in the United States. Since I was young, I loved to draw and color. My passion for art grew more and more each year as people liked my drawings. My dream since childhood was to paint pictures like the great artists, I admired the paintings of Leonardo da Vinci, Nicolas Poussin, Caravaggio and Botticelli.
My first work of art was the reproduction of the painting: "The Inspiration of the Poet" by Nicolas Poussin (June 1594-November 1665). A Classic painter who had a powerful influence on Raphael's Classic French Baroque style.
That reproduction measures 40 x 40 inches (1 x 1 meters)
I use many different styles as Realism, Abstract, Modernism, Surrealism, Expressionism, Impressionism, and Pop Art. I believe that working in a single medium/style is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style. I am a very observant and minimalist person, and I look for inspiration in the things around me like nature, shapes, people, or things from day to day.
