About Lilia Prates

Lilia Prates was born in the city of Belo Horizonte, state of Minas Gerais. She moved to Portugal in 2005, where she graduated in Human Resources Management at Polytechnic Institute of Tomar. She attended the Conservation and Restoration course, where she got in touch with works of art, thus arousing her interest in painting.

 Her modernist drawings give life to characters and objects from local cultures, both from Portugal and Brazil.
